Lassie is a Chestnut TB mare foaled March 25th, 2003 bred by Dr Harvey Cole in Olds, AB. She has three white socks and a large star and connected tapering strip. Lassie is an excelent Eventing, pony club prospect. She is a very sweet mare and amazing to ride. Lassie trained on the track but was never raced. She had the potential to be a very fast mare and a winner! Lassie has beautiful movement, conformation and personality!! Lassie has a nice pedigree for both performance and breeding! Lassie is a total sweet heart. Lassie was trained on the track but never raced. She was lessoned on for a year did low level jumping. Competed 18”, 2 ft and 2.3 with little time over fences and did very well. First show won 3 out of 4 of her classes, placed 4th in the last class sue to rider error. Lassie is calm very gentle and easy going. Incredibly ground manners, does everything with no complaint. Has had beginner and experienced riders on her, great for both. Very smooth to ride. Ridden, English, western, bareback in a halter and in a snaffle bit. Has lots of get up and go when needed. Can be left and any amount of time and can start riding her again and she is the same horse. Green over fences but very quick to pick things up. Lassie is incredibly smooth to ride, has amazing manners and is such a nice horse to have around. Lassie is a Exclusive Native and Grey Dawn great granddaughter on her sire's side. Young Devil is a stakes placed winner and has won 47 races - total of $543 000. He has 27 starters out of 35 foals including Young Runaway $304 827 in earnings. Young Devil's sire Valdez has won over $500 000 on the track in only 16 starts! Lassie's grandsire Dial A Lad sold for $290,000 as a yearling. Lassie goes back to Count Fleet twice and his full brother Count Speed. Count Fleet was U.S. Champion 2-Yr-Old Colt, U.S. Triple Crown Champion (1943), U.S. Champion 3-Yr-Old Colt (1943), United States Horse of the Year (1943), Leading sire in North America (1951), and Leading broodmare sire in North America (1963).
