In addition to his beauty, he is bred to perform.  Say Hey Kid was Champion as a 3 year old in Country English Pleasure and was not shown for 10 years when he was WCB Champion SHIH Open Stallion and Reserve Champion SHIH ATH Stallion, Arabian Breeding stallion Open & ATH.  In 2014 he was WCB Reserve Champion SHIH Open Stallion and Mounted Native Costume. He placed Top 6 in SHIH ATH Stallion, Arabian Breeding stallion Open & ATH. Say Hey Kid is sired by the late Hey Hallelujah++//,  6 time National Champion and 13 time Regional Champion in English Pleasure, Park, Driving, Informal Combination and Halter, out of Otherthanthenight by Strike and out of a Barbary+++ daughter.

Amber's sire, Opus Zone is a black pure Polish son of Canadian reserve national futurity colt Opus One+. His pedigree is filled with champions from top to bottom. He is Triple *Bask++, double *Aladdinn and double Czort. He also has 5 lines to Witraz and 18 to Ofir. Both of his grandsires are US National halter champions, being AAF Kaset+ and Strike. He posses excellent confirmation, bloodlines, and temperament, which he is passing on to his babies!

Amber's dam, IL Medalions Dakota is an athletic mare with lots of movement. She is by the beautiful Dar son, Medalion out of a beautiful Bajdak daughter, Roanoak Daketa. Bajdak was 1971 Canadian National Top 10 Stallion, 1972 US National Top 10 Park Horse and 1972 Canadian National Top 10 Stallion. Bajdak has produced show winners including 2 Legion of Honor winners and has winning grandkids. Bajdak has kids all over the world. He was a beautiful bay stallion whose foals were very versatile. Competing in Reining, Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Ladies Saddle and Halter. Bajdak is sire by Comet out of Bajdara who is by Gabor. Roanoak Daketa is out of Triple-A-Celeta, who is sired by Celebes out of Harta, by Ego.
