Misty, 2006
unregistered appendix filly,
stands 15hh. She is a sorrel with a bit of roaning and zebra stripes. She
is out of a red roan Quarter horse and a buckskin appendix mare. Misty was
untouched when I got her and you would never know it now! She is a very
sweet girl and has extremely nice conformation. She is very smart and
athletic. Misty can turn and stop on a dime! Can be sold with a breeding to one of my stallions. UPDATE(11/23/2008) : Misty was lead for the first time today! She was great. Misty was lead through a gate twice and did it like she was doing it for years!! She had a 22 ft rope on so I let it trail behind us. At first Misty was a little insure but stayed with me and got over it very quickly! She only got scared twice where she tried to get away up it didn't much pressure from me and I didn't have to fight her to get her to come back and stay with me! She almost tried to leave a third time but with the tiny pressure on the rope she stopped and came back! This atheltic girl is going to be amazing to train! She is so curious and friendly that she wants to be with you all the time. She loves attention and very well put together! She is also a neat color! I would love to keep this mare as she is so cool to be around much one can only work so many horses!! UPDATE(12/21/2008) : Misty will be very easy to train and brake under saddle. I was rubbing her with a saddle blanket when she was out in the field the other day. She wasn't scared of the blanket or saddle and stood still while I moved it around. I didn't have anything on Misty to keep her with me. You can also walk up to Misty when she is lying down and she doesn't move. UPDATE (03/02/2009) : Misty had her first saddle on today and was amazing! She handled it like a pro. If I hadn't known better I would have said she was a saddle broke horse! UPDATE (03/06/2009) : March 6th, Misty was ridden for the first time and was great. She never offered to buck, wasn't scared and could have cared less I was on her back. It didn't take her long to find her balance. This little mare is going to be a great horse and will excel at anything she puts her mind to!
